Love Story
When I completed the love story design, my heart was heavy, and my emotions ran high.
It is my love story and your love story.
It is our history, present, and future. It’s a story that belongs to our ancestors and those who are no longer with us.
The love story design is essential to me because of what traditional Kurdish clothing symbolizes. Love, pain, happiness, power, betrayal, martyrs, destiny, heartbreak, promises, broken promises, mountains, hope, faith, rainbow, battlefield, strength, freedom, future, dreams, independence, victims of honor killing, young love, true love, forbidden love, honor, respect, loyalty, patience, etc.
Throughout our history, Kurdish women have suffered from any number of these, and I hope my designs ensure these are not forgotten.
