This painting isn’t just any type of painting, or as you might think its just a pink lady. In fact this painting has a meaning behind it. She’s painted in pink because pink defines femininity, love, nurture, warmth, the survival of the species emotional claustrophobia, emasculation and physical weakness. As you can see the lady’s color barely blends in the background since the color pink barely is in the background itself. However, the background reflects back to her culture and past experiences which means it’s hard for women to blend in their own culture since they’re usually misunderstood and mistreated.
